what type of items do you take in?

WOMEN: Tops, pants, jeans, skirts, casual and semi-formal dresses, jackets, blazers, coats (only in season), sweaters, scarves, pashminas, ponchos, shoes, jewelry, and accessories such as belts, backpacks, and bags.

MEN: Shirts, polo shirts, t-shirts, denim, jackets, coats (only in season), pants, sweaters, shoes, jewelry and accessories such as belts, backpacks, and bags.

Please keep in mind:

👠👞 If you're considering selling shoes, make sure they are in current style, new, or slightly used, as they are the least in demand in the secondhand market.

👚👖 We specialize in consigning CASUAL clothing for both women and men. Evening dresses, tuxedos, and tailored suits have a low likelihood of being sold in our boutique.

🚫👙🩳 We do not accept underwear or swimwear, even if they are new with tags.

What items do you accept, depending on the different seasons?

We accept SPRING-SUMMER items from February through May.

We accept TRANSITIONAL items (basics, lightweight sweaters, raincoats, etc.) from June through August.

We accept FALL-WINTER items from September through November.

We accept TRANSITIONAL items (basics, lightweight sweaters, dresses, etc.) in December and January.

How do I SELECT THE ITEMS I WANT TO SELL?

Here is our 8-step checklist to help you choose your items:

1. MUST BE CLEAN

2. MUST BE FREE OF ODORS (cigarette smoke, humidity, intense perfume, etc.)

3. PET-HAIR FREE

4. MUST BE LIGHTLY USED OR NEW (no stains, no holes, no unstitched)

5. WITHOUT MAJOR ALTERATIONS

6. MUST BE IRONED (if the fabric of the item requires it)

7. MUST BE CURRENT

8. MUST BE IN SEASON

*We love to say yes but... Any item that does not comply with this checklist won't be consigned 😢 

Why are you so mindful of the selection of items?

Our mission is to provide our clientele with clothing and accessories that they can reuse with confidence and to ensure that our consignors receive a fair exchange of value for the items they consign. The only way to do this is to select items in excellent condition and with a high probability of sale.

How many ITEMS can I bring to my appointment?

Due to high demand, we can currently only accept a maximum of 20 items per appointment. This ensures that we can provide you with the best service and space for each of your articles.

Please do not bring more than 20 items for us to review. 🙏🏼

can i bring my items without an appointment?

We're not accepting walk-ins for now. Please schedule an appointment at this link.

How will I know when an item has been sold?

You'll receive a sales notification directly in your inbox, and you can arrange for your payment at that moment. Alternatively, you can choose to use your balance in the boutique and receive a special discount 🍀

What should I do if I have more than 40 items to SELL?

For these special appointments, we ask you to send a message to hola@layellowboutique.com requesting an "Appointment for more than 40 items" so we can provide you with options for available days and times. These are the only appointments we offer for in-home visits within the urban area of San Miguel de Allende.
